Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a visa for Kenya?
Zambian passport holders generally enjoy visa-free entry or simplified electronic authorization for Kenya, but you must ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your return date.
What health precautions should I take?
A valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is typically required for travel within the region. Since Mombasa is a coastal destination, malaria prophylaxis is highly recommended; please consult your healthcare provider before departure.
What is the best way to pack for July in Mombasa?
July is the peak beach season. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing, swimwear, sun protection (hats and high-SPF sunscreen), and comfortable walking shoes for the Fort Jesus and Old Town tours.
How do I secure my spot for the July 2026 trip?
A minimum deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking to confirm your slot.
When is the final payment due?
Full payment must be completed no later than thirty (30) days prior to your scheduled departure date.
What happens if I need to cancel my trip?
Cancellations made less than 30 days before departure result in a 100% forfeiture of the total cost. For cancellations between 30 and 60 days, 75% of the cost is forfeited.
Is travel insurance included in the price?
No. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation, and trip cancellation is mandatory and must be arranged independently. You will be required to provide proof of insurance before final payment.
Why are lunches and dinners not included?
This allows you the flexibility to explore Mombasa’s vibrant Swahili culinary scene at your own pace. We do, however, include a curated Swahili coastal dining experience as one of your five iconic highlights.
Can I save for this trip over time?
Yes! You can use the La’gullez Travel Club, our savings-based membership programme, to plan and finance your future travel experiences through monthly installments.
Will I be featured on your social media?
We capture images and videos during our experiences for marketing purposes. We will ask you to sign a Media Release Form at booking; however, you have the right to decline or request the removal of your images.
Is local support available during the trip?
Yes, the package includes full trip coordination and dedicated local support to ensure your "reset" is stress-free.
What if there is a major disruption beyond our control?
In the event of force majeure (such as extreme weather or government restrictions), we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements or provide a credit voucher valid for 24 months for unused services.
